A water vapor fireplace works by means of water vapor and LED lighting. A flame illusion is created on water vapor through the combination of water vapor mist, illuminated by LED. This realistic fire image creates an authentic fireplace atmosphere. Therefore, no real fire is involved.

A bioethanol fireplace is a fireplace with real fire that does not require a flue. The bioethanol fireplace works on the basis of a vegetable, and therefore environmentally friendly liquid. Is a fireplace still allowed?
Yes, a traditional wood-burning fireplace may still be used in the Netherlands, but increasingly strict environmental regulations apply and some municipalities restrict burning during poor air quality.
Modern alternatives such as bio-ethanol or water vapor fireplaces are allowed everywhere. The fireplaces from Elu-fire comply with all environmental and safety standards.
Is it possible to install a fireplace in any house?

Can I place a fireplace without a chimney?
Yes, you can. With a modern bio-ethanol or water vapor fireplace, you do not need a chimney or flue.
Are the electric fireplaces and bio-ethanol fireplaces safe to use?
Yes, both the electric and bio-ethanol fireplaces are safe when installed and used according to the instructions. All appliances are designed and equipped with various safety features, so that use is completely safe. Because all appliances are equipped with glass, you can never come into direct contact with the fire.
Does Elu-fire also install the fireplaces?
No, the installation of the fireplace is handled by the dealer. Our dealers are trained and experienced in installing both electric and bio-ethanol fireplaces.
Can the fireplaces be operated with a remote control?
Yes, the electric fireplaces are supplied as standard with a remote control with which you can adjust the heat, lighting and flame settings.
Does the fireplace require maintenance?
It is recommended to have the fireplaces maintained periodically. During a periodic inspection, the fireplace is completely cleaned and technically checked. This ensures a longer lifespan and optimal enjoyment of your Elu-fire fireplace.
Contact your dealer to schedule a maintenance appointment. When maintaining/cleaning the fireplace, never use abrasive or corrosive cleaning agents.
How can I extend the life of my fireplace?
Keep the room and fireplace clean and dust-free as much as possible. Periodic maintenance helps to extend the life of the fireplace. In addition, for a bioethanol fireplace, only use ethanol suitable for ambiance fireplaces. You can purchase these from us. With the water vapor fireplaces, the quality of the water is very important. Limescale present in the water can damage parts of the appliance. In the case of a fireplace with a pump system, it is recommended to use demineralised water. In the case of a water vapor fireplace connected to a water pipe, a water softener can improve the quality of the water.
